Bruery Terreux Rueuze

Bruery Terreux Rueuze is a blend of sour blonde ales

Since opening in 2008, The Bruery has distinguished itself with an award-winning lineup of barrel-aged and experimental ales.

This release from Bruery Terreux, a branch of The Bruery that focuses solely on farmhouse ales, is the brewery's take on Gueuze, the traditional Belgian-style blend of lambics of different ages. The brewers select from oak barrels holding sour blonde ale of different ages. The top choices are blended together in order to achieve an ideal combination of flavors. The result is a beer with aromas of pineapple, lemon peel and apricot, along with flavors of hay, barnyard funk and sour green apple. A dry aftertaste is balanced by a smooth, malty character.

Sour Rating: 8
