Brooklyn Brewery is captained by Garrett Oliver, one of the most respected and acclaimed brewmasters in the world.
Oliver has won a slew of medals from major beer competitions in a wide range of beer styles and is internationally recognized as an expert on traditional beer styles and their affinity with good food. His Oktoberfest is true to the traditional style and made with German malt and hops. Like most Märzen lagers, it pours a clear amber color, registers 5.5 percent ABV, and has a light sprinkling of hops thrown in for good balance. Its aroma includes the typical Oktoberfest fragrance — caramel-scented and sweet with a hint of nuttiness. This is an easy drinking brew with a bready and biscuit-like flavor derived from the malt. Suggested food pairing is steak or roasted meats.
