Top 10 Weird Beers
New Belgium Brewing is no stranger to using off-the-wall ingredients and neither is Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.
After releasing their highly successful Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale collaboration in 2015, the two brands have teamed up again. This time around New Belgium used a blonde ale base without roasted malts to allow the vanilla, chocolate and brown sugar to shine. It truly tastes like cookie dough with hints of cocoa, and finishes with just the right amount of sweetness. Like last year’s collaboration, $50,000 of the proceeds from this beer will benefit Protect Our Winters, a non-profit working to raise awareness about climate change. At only 185 calories per 12 oz pour, this brew has fewer calories than most ice creams, so no need to feel too guilty about enjoying this liquid dessert.
