Agavero Tequila Liqueur

José Cuervo 33 46400 Tequila Mexico

Many tequila aficionados turn their noses up at any example of their favorite alcoholic beverage that is not 100 percent made from the blue agave plant. But Agavero, which bills itself as “El Original Licor de Tequila” uses an old recipe to add a new twist. It is 100 percent blue agave tequila infused with the natural essence of the Damiana flower. The result is a fine-sipping liqueur that is quite similar to tequila, but lighter and more palatable neat or on the rocks.

Alquimia Reserva de Don Adolfo Extra Añejo

Much like Cognac, this 100% certified organic tequila is best when sipped neat in a snifter.

Asombroso 11 Year Anejo

While tequila aficionados may be familiar with the categories reposado (aged at least two months) and añejo (aged at least a year), the extra-añejo label applied to tequilas aged more than three years wasn't established until 2006.

Asombroso Gran Reserva Extra Añejo 5 Year

The father-and-son team of Ricardo and Jarrett Gamarra run a small boutique tequila business making what they call "The World's Most Exclusive Tequilas" in very distinctive bottles.

Avion Reposado Tequila

This is not your typical reposado with the kind of pear and apple aromas you'd expect from a brandy.

Avión Silver Tequila

We realize that not everybody can spend hundreds of dollars on a bottle of tequila no matter how wonderful it is, so we wanted to include a reasonably priced un-aged tequila on our list. This one lived up to the hype.

Camarena Tequila

The first rule of tequila is only drink it if it's made from 100 percent blue agave. The truth is that the mixtos that utilize less than 100 percent blue agave usually cost less. But Familia Camarena has found a way to produce a tasty 100 percent blue agave Reposado Tequila and offer it for a very reasonable price.

Casa Dragones

This joven-style tequila from San Miguel de Allende combines an extra-añejo aged for five years in new charred American white oak barrels with un-aged tequila.

Casamigos Añejo Tequila

This tequila might be worth a billion dollars, but you certainly won't be paying a premium to enjoy it.

Chinaco Añejo Tequila

Darwin 68, Anzures 11590 Mexico City Mexico

The distinctive dark fruit aromas of this Tamaulipas tequila are accented by hints of vanilla.
