This new 100 percent blue agave, super-premium, extra anejo tequila commemorates November 2, 1758.
On that historic occasion, King Carlos IV of Spain bestowed unto Don José Antonio de Cuervo a plot of land in La Rojeña that would forever change the way the world celebrates Cinco de Mayo. Produced solely from plants cultivated on Cuervo's original plot of land, Aniversario is a blend of the most select tequilas in the family’s reserves. There's even history in the bottle, which is inspired by the original glass container used by the brand’s namesake to ship tequila a quarter-millennium ago. Most evident flavor notes up front are butterscotch and vanilla, tempered with a little pepper. The finish reveals chocolate and a bit of honey.
