Xanté Liqueur & Cocktail Recipe

By Gayot Editors

Though the Swedish liqueur Xanté has gained popularity in Europe, particularly in its native land, it has only recently made the transition stateside in the past few years.

Whereas in Europe, the pear- and Cognac-based liqueur is often consumed neat or on-the-rocks, Xanté touts itself as an essential ingredient in cocktails. The 76-proof liqueur has a slight aftertaste of vanilla thanks to its Cognac aging in French oak, and should definitely be served cold, whether alone or in the company of other cocktail ingredients.
