Gourmet & Grapes at The Sanctuary brings together food and wine enthusiasts from around the world for a weekend of glamorous events at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort.
The event opens with a BBQ and bourbon mashup with Julian Van Winkle and barbecue by Carolina Pitmasters, Home Team BBQ and Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q. Friday night features An Epicurean Affair, a black-tie dinner with Top Chefs Kevin Gillespie, Kristen Kish, Justin Devillier and Emily Hahn. The Saturday Gourmet Culinary Luncheon will include James Beard Award Finalists Michael Hudman and Andy Ticer of Andrew Michael Kitchen. The Wine Odyssey Gala at The Sanctuary is the highlight of the weekend, with a cocktail hour, silent and live auctions, the opportunity to meet the chefs and sample their culinary creations, as well as music and dancing at the Champagne & Chocolates Afterglow bash. A golf outing on Sunday gives guests the chance to compete with the event's renowned chefs. Proceeds benefit the Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina.
