Passover Seder Dinner at Spago
The annual dinner will feature a specially crafted menu along with wine pairings.
As in the past, partner-owner Barbara Lazaroff will be hosting the 33rd annual seder dinner at Spago Beverly Hills. Chef de cuisine Tetsu Yahagi has composed a special menu that includes Spago's shallot and thyme matzo, Tetsu’s home-made gefilte fish, and chicken and vegetable soup with Judy Gethers’ matzo balls. Finish with executive pastry chef Della Gossett’s dessert buffet featuring matzo toffee and Passover puffs with caramel.
Wine director Phillip Dunn has elaborated a variety of wine pairings including the rare Recanati Reserve Mawawi, one of a just a few indigenous varieties to Israel. Each guest will also receive Spago’s oven-baked matzah and macaroons packaged to-go.
Rabbi Rachlis and Cantor Braier will led the service followed by the West Los Angeles Children's Choir performing two songs.
Proceeds from the dinner will benefit Mazon, The Jewish Response to Hunger. Dinner is $195.00 per adult and $80.00 per child under the age of nine.
