North American International Auto Show
See more than 750 vehicles on display and experience North America's largest automotive showcase.
There's arguably no bigger stage in the world for new production and concept cars than Detroit's North American International Auto Show, taking place at the Cobo Center from January 14 to 22. Each year, car companies show the new concepts coming soon to dealerships. This year marks the tenth year of the ultra-luxury automotive event, The Gallery, the official kick-off to NAIAS on January 7. As usual, it will take place at the MGM Grand Detroit with dinner served by world-renowned chef Wolfgang Puck in the Ignite Lounge.
In contrast to the powerful, gas-guzzling vehicles of previous years, the cars at recent auto shows have a stronger eco-minded emphasis on new technology and all-electric driving, showcasing a trend towards alternative fuels and a greener future. There will also be more self-driving and semi-autonomous vehicles on display at NAIAS as Silicon Valley's experimental quirks become mainstream for consumers worldwide.
