Jules' Undersea Lodge
This underwater hotel welcomes scuba divers of all levels for singular overnight stays.
For those who've dreamed of traveling 20,000 leagues beneath the sea, this underwater hotel is a must. It's actually 21 feet below the surface of the water, and guests scuba in through a mangrove habitat, which is also home to the MarineLab Undersea Laboratory. For those without scuba certification, there is a required Discover Scuba course; guests can also become certified during their stay. Lodging is a two-bedroom unit that can accommodate up to six people (generally two couples or families of six). There's a common room equipped with telephone, TV with DVD player and stereo, as well as a dining area. Both bedrooms have round, nearly four-foot windows with views of passing angelfish, barracudas and snappers. An on-site "mer-chef" can be arranged to prepare a gourmet dinner. Package prices vary based on the number of people and the extravagance of meal choices.
