Design-heavy lodging for those seeking style along with substance.
There’s something about the Hotel Keppler that reminds us of Kit Kemp’s quirky properties in the U.K. From classic tray ceilings to zebra prints to stark black-and-white splashed with colorful accents, this hotel is heavy on design. It can feel a bit extravagant, but overall its decorator indulgences are appealing. While not all of the 39 guest rooms and five suites come with balconies with Eiffel Tower views, they do offer standards such as complimentary Wi-Fi, individually controlled air-con and heating, soundproofing, robes and slippers, evening turndown service, plasma or LCD TVs, iPhone docks and satellite TV. The suites also feature Hermès bath products. On-site, guests can enjoy a dedicated breakfast room and small 24-hour fitness center with sauna and steam room. The hotel resides in a nineteenth-century Haussmann building just steps from the Champs-Elysées and the Arc de Triomphe.
