A Terence Conran hotel in the center of hipster Shoreditch.

Once a printing factory, this trendy hotel in Shoreditch, East London’s answer to Soho, is a favorite with hipster creative types. The beautiful Victorian warehouse conversion reveals its origins with old brickwork that creeps through to some of the seventeen rooms, which include five suites. Suites are individually themed around an artist or designer. For example, the Italian-styled Priscilla Carluccio Suite has fresh white walls and funky colored furniture, a mezzanine bedroom decked out with chinchilla gray carpets, a white king-size bed and a mirrored wall hiding the bathroom on the other side. Slightly lower down the scale, Corner Rooms are filled with natural light and designed to reflect an artistic movement such as Bauhaus or Shaker. At the lowest level, accommodations are enormous with king-size beds, laptop safes with sockets, Conran iPod docks and free Wi-Fi. Breakfast is not included, but the on-site Boundary restaurant serves dishes ranging from eggs Benedict and Cornish crab to oysters Rockefeller and Sunday roasts. Albion at Boundary specializes in hearty English grub such as fish and chips, cottage pie and crumble. Alternatively, Pizza East is just around the corner and is home to arguably the best pizza parlor in London.
