Loads of luxury in former government digs right on the river.
Created from the former home of the Greater London Council, the London Marriott Hotel County Hall occupies a plumb riverside location right opposite the Houses of Parliament and adjacent to the London Eye. The entrance is on the south side of Westminster Bridge and has to be one the grandest of any hotel in London, occupying the whole of the original County Hall courtyard. The 200 bedrooms and suites are well furnished in traditional style, and many have river views; all have satellite TV, but free Wi-Fi is restricted to Gold and Platinum Elite members of the Marriott Rewards program. Each room is equipped with high-speed Internet, a large work space, laptop sized safe and luxury robes and slippers. Guests can enjoy complimentary use of the Club at County Hall, featuring an indoor pool and gym. Dining options include Gillray's and the Library Lounge. But with the choices on offer just a few minutes walk from the front door, guests would be foolish to miss out on the riverside restaurants and bars that Londoners flock to on weekends.
