A laidback bargain in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.
With its comfy rooms and low-key service, this hotel doesn't seem the type to stand out among the downtown players. But aside from its great urban setting, it offers a sophisticated restaurant, Pho Citi, as well as the deli-style Cherry Pick Cafe, which serves breakfast, lunch and gourmet coffee. Beyond the awning and contemporary two-story lobby, the hotel's modest guest rooms are clean and feature muted tones throughout. While lacking in sophistication, most do offer kitchenettes, a rarity in downtown. The hotel is one block from Disney Concert Hall, and within walking distance of Little Tokyo, MOCA, Chinatown and Olvera Street, a Mexican-themed walk street.
