If you can't get to Europe, check into this lavish garden villa.
This small hotel is engulfed by ivy, roses, herbs and thick fig and olive trees. Some might say it's overgrown, but there is no denying it's lovely. Jagged stone walkways only add to the organic and sophisticated beauty of this verdant Euro-rich retreat. The summer of 2003 saw major transformations, when eighteen new rooms brought the total up to 29. All rooms and suites have feather beds, Italian linens, fireplaces, full bathrooms and private entrances. Many of the furnishings are one-of-a-kind, crafted in Italy expressly for the inn. One thing missing from all rooms: televisions. The inn's spa was the first Vinotherapie center to open in the United States, and offers a full menu of exclusive treatments that rely on the anti-aging properties of grape-derived extracts. Among the spa's signature treatments are the Kenwood Wine Bath and the Kenwood Wine Wrap. A full gourmet breakfast is included with every stay, and the on-site restaurant offers a pleasant setting to enjoy a meal. Meeting space is available.
