A quaint, historical landmark near the heart of Laguna Beach.
Built in the 1920s, this classic California house was the former beach abode of movie mogul Louis B. Mayer (of Metro Goldwyn Mayer fame). Today, it stands proudly as a unique inn operated by a transplanted English couple who share their passion for Southern California with their guests. The inn sits in a picturesque neighborhood lined with traditional beach houses just a few blocks from the sand and within walking distance to downtown Laguna Beach’s bevy of boutiques and art galleries. This intimate hostelry has just six suites, some with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room. The one-bedroom suites and two-bedroom units are individually decorated and appropriately named according to theme. For example, deep forest hues, stark white wicker furniture and huge windows in the Green Palms bring the outdoors inside, while the Primrose Lane Suite recalls English country style with lace curtains and antiques.
