Great for families as well as couples, this hotel offers plenty of amenities for a desert escape.
Taking its inspiration from the enchanting resorts of the Mediterranean, the Renaissance boasts a 100,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art, elegantly designed indoor/outdoor function facility, the famous Spa Esmeralda with a host of pampering amenities and two excellent golf courses. It's often abuzz with convention goers, who split their time between the conference halls and the fairways. Given the combination of style and services, it's hard to believe this place is so reasonably priced. Guest rooms are wonderfully spacious and mix the finer points of contemporary and classic décor. The generous private balconies provide panoramic views of the Santa Rosa Mountains and the oh-so-green Ted Robinson-designed links. The resort’s epicenter is the three swimming pool complex --- one with a sandy, sea-like entrance; one with a twenty-foot-high water temple complete with cascading waterfall and lively pool bar; and the third a shallow wading pool for children. Dining options include Glo Sushi, Sirocco Pizza Company (SPC) and casual California cuisine at CAVA. Come early evening, business types and vacationers gather in the lobby bar for cocktails.
