Spend the night in Sacramento's floating hotel.
Once a riverboat shuttling passengers between San Francisco and Sacramento, this floating hotel is now permanently docked in Sacramento as one of the city’s more nostalgic hotels. Like the Delta Queen, its sister hotel moored on the Mississippi River, an onboard stay conjures images of Mark Twain and the romance of the Wild West. The deck-level Pilothouse restaurant offers excellent outdoor dining, and a complimentary continental breakfast is included in the hotel’s price. The 44 larger-than-average State Rooms are furnished with a queen bed and a small sitting area with wicker tables and chairs. Also available is The Captain’s Quarters, an enormous suite surrounded by full-sized windows, elegant mahogany paneling and built-in cabinetry. The Captain’s furniture is similarly impressive with luxurious overstuffed sofas and chairs.
