A hip boutique hotel in the historic downtown district.
Reborn in 2004, this chic hotel was built by T.S. Montgomery in 1911 and has since undergone extensive remodeling and retrofitting (and was even shifted 186 feet from its original location) to restore taste and comfort. The interior is contemporary, combining modern furnishings with both classic and edgy décor. Rooms are hip and uniquely decorated with Burberry-inspired plaid furnishings and outfitted with amenities like refrigerators, HP Pavillion laptops, mini-bars and spacious work desks. The eclectic fusion restaurant, Mosaic Restaurant & Lounge, provides an intimate indoor/outdoor setting that encompasses the spirit of downtown San Jose's renaissance movement, features live jazz on Fridays and Saturdays; it features nearly 100 vodkas and, notably, bocce courts.
