A comfortable place for guests to bed down after a day of touring.
Like many of the hotels on Upper State Street, this one offers a generic taste of Santa Barbara. The red-tiled roofs and willowy palms remind guests where they are, and wrought-iron embellishments drive the point home. The city’s true historic Spanish Colonial sites, however, are miles away, as are the Waterfront and Downtown districts. While the property boasts two pools, an exercise room and spa facilities, it best serves as a comfortable place for guests to bed down at the end of a day spent off-site. Several meeting facilities and special rates for conference participants make the hotel popular with business travelers. All 150 rooms are non-smoking and feature decks or balconies overlooking the garden and pool courtyards.
