Guests can walk to the beach from this Mediterranean-style motel.
Only half a block from the waterfront, this motel is typical Santa Barbara with its peach stucco walls and red tiled roof. Stearns Wharf and the harbor are within reasonable walking distance, and downtown is a short cab ride away. For those traveling by car, free parking is a plus in a neighborhood with limited spaces. Although the owners call this property a boutique hotel, it really isn't quite. Besides being small, this above-average motel has outdoor hallways, yet it's exceptionally clean and comfortable. Each of twenty renovated rooms has wooden plantation shutters, ceiling fans, bathrooms with Italian tiled floors, plasma TVs, plush carpeting and couches. Light sleepers will appreciate better than expected soundproofing and quieter climate controls. All rooms have a private bath and standard amenities like coffee makers and hair dryers, while a few of the most deluxe have refrigerators and private balconies. High-speed Internet access is complimentary.
