A haven of relaxation and rejuvenation in quaint surroundings.
Set in the Santa Barbara wine country, this inn belonged to actor Fess Parker of Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone fame. Not too far down the road from his vineyard, Parker, who died in 2010, created an atmosphere of serenity and relaxation. His wife designed each of the 21 rooms in traditional country inn style: flowers and muted tones of butter-yellow, blue and lilac. All have fireplaces, down comforters, TVs and air-conditioning, and come with turndown service and extras like bottled water. Some also have whirlpool tubs, and even allow pets. Romantics can request lavender turndown service and special spa packages at on-site Spa Vigne. Other perks of staying here include a complimentary wine tasting for two at The Fess Parker Winery & Vineyards and use of an outdoor heated swimming pool. On-site Petros serves California-influenced Greek cuisine. The inn is a great place for a weekend getaway --- check out the 30 area wineries, visit Solvang, go hiking or, if you're feeling extremely adventurous, take a glider ride.
