Privacy is the highlight at this stylish mountain lodge.
While this lodge dates back to 1889, don’t expect an old-fashioned mountain experience here. Many of the exterior details have been retained (including a wraparound porch with mountain views), but the interior style is suited to a tasteful, contemporary urban hotel, beginning with the artwork from the owner’s private collection. The idea behind this lodge is total privacy, which begins when you pick your key up from a secure lock box rather than a front desk. Each of the six guest rooms can be booked individually or as a whole; all come with cushioned bay windows, complimentary Wi-Fi, custom-designed double-sink vanities, flat-screen TVs, DVD players, iPod docks, mini-fridges and coffee service. In addition, the lodge offers a full kitchen, shared dining table, complimentary laundry facilities, outdoor fire pit, gas barbecue and film library. Located in the arts town of Green Mountain Falls, the lodge offers easy access to hiking and Colorado Springs.
