A ranch-style, adobe and log home hand-built by the innkeeper.
Set on the banks of Soda Creek only three miles from the Steamboat ski area via a free ski-shuttle, this quiet bed and breakfast attracts folks who, after a long day on the slopes, want to be away from the hustle of the après-ski scene near the mountain. The rooms (each with a private bath) are charmingly named and decorated. The twin-bedded Gemelo Room overlooks the pond. The Monarch and Patty's Room have handmade log beds. Local artwork and hand-woven tapestries decorate the walls. The property also features a wrap-around porch. Breakfasts can be as simple as a berry smoothie with homemade granola or as hearty as huevos rancheros with green chile. Afterward, guests can spend the rest of the morning reading in the sunroom. Or they can wander into downtown to buy cowboy boots at F.M. Light & Sons and have a milkshake at the vintage soda counter at Lyons Drugs. Pets are welcome.
