This classic mountain lodge offers rustic-luxe style and the convenience of ski-in, ski-out access.
This log-and-stone hotel is patterned after the old National Park Lodges. Its slope-side location attracts folks who love to ski. It is close to Telluride, which can be reached by a scenic (and free) gondola. Accommodations include standard lodge rooms, suites, luxury hotel residences and cabins. Most boast a large deck or balcony with views of the surrounding 14,000-foot peaks. Other perks are equally notable: gas fireplaces in the living rooms, whirlpool tubs in the master baths, and kitchens fully equipped with sub-zero refrigerators and stainless-steel gas stoves. The two- and three-bedroom suites, as well as the cabins, also have washers and dryers. The cabins are by far the most picturesque choice; they are constructed of hand-peeled logs and have large windows looking directly out onto the ski slopes. Located in the main lodge, The View Bar & Grill is a popular après-ski destination, as are the outdoor heated pool and Jacuzzi.
