A historic landmark on Aspen's glitzy mall near the Silver Queen gondola.
Although Aspen is one of those places where you have to worry about private jet gridlock, not everyone who visits is a millionaire. This centrally located, pleasantly furnished, bed-and-breakfast inn is always full of folks who enjoy the town’s facilities but don’t want to pay its notoriously high lodging prices. All 28 queen-bedded guest rooms have private baths, cable TV, refrigerators and telephones. The décor goes for a spare French country look with wood floors and ceilings, and black-and-white photography gracing the walls. There’s an elevator and air conditioning, both of which are unusual in small mountain inns. Other amenities include ski lockers, airport transportation, free use of the Aspen Athletic Club and complimentary après-ski wine and cheese every afternoon. The roof-top hot tub offers great mountain views.
