Spectacular views and convenient monorail station highlight this futuristic Disney icon.
The Contemporary Resort provides a Disney World experience like no other. While other hotels embrace a whimsical theme or are inspired by classic architecture from around the world, the Contemporary stands out as a beacon of modern design. Its fifteen-story, A-frame tower is perched majestically between Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon. These are some of the largest standard rooms at Disney, featuring king and queen lay-outs with day beds. The 12th and 14th Concierge floors offer a variety of services including complimentary continental breakfast and mini fridges stocked with free juice and pop. There are two “garden wing” buildings adjacent to the tower that can offer some nice views of Bay Lake, but they don’t offer balconies. Perhaps one of the best reasons to stay at the Contemporary is its location next to the Magic Kingdom. Guests can walk to the park or take the famous monorail that loads from inside the tower’s cavernous Grand Canyon Concourse. The monorail also goes to Epcot and buses service all other Disney attractions. The critically acclaimed California Grill offers an eclectic gourmet menu and the best view Disney has to offer---you can see the entire “World” including Spaceship Earth at Epcot and even the far-away Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom.
