A historic property rich in history and aloha spirit.
A favorite of locals, this property is located just twenty minutes from the Keahole-Kona Airport, in the middle of everything Kona has to offer. The culturally rich resort sits on thirteen beachfront acres adjacent to the Kailua Pier and features a small sandy beach and infinity pool. The hotel is proud of its extensive collection of ‘ahu ‘ula (royal feathered capes) and pahu (hand-carved sharkskin drums). In addition, it shares its site with an ancient heiau (temple of worship). Now fully restored, the temple is dedicated to the Hawaiian god Lono. There are two on-site restaurants, Honu’s on the Beach and Billfish Poolside Bar & Grille. Having undergone complete renovations in 2010, the 447 generously-sized rooms and five suites are housed in two separate towers. Be sure to request ocean-facing rooms, which are quieter and provide wonderful views. The resort's location is walking distance to shopping, activities and sightseeing.
