An art-lover's dream in an art-lover's town.
Friendly and knowledgeable innkeepers LeAn and Charles Clamurro operate this ten-room B&B that celebrates Taos' legacy as one of America's great historic art colonies. The rooms of this adobe compound are filled with fine local artwork, not to mention well-chosen linens and textiles and handcrafted wood furniture. All have wood-burning fireplaces, and several rooms have beautifully-tiled whirlpool tubs overlooking the sleeping area and fireplace. Other amenities include refrigerators and coffeemakers, and guests enjoy the use of a nearby health club. From the front porch of your room, you can soak up the views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, which rise high over Taos to the east. All units have private entrances, ensuring the total seclusion. Rates include a superb full breakfast, where you might sample stuffed French toast with a side of chile-glazed bacon. The property is on a quiet dead-end lane, just off the main commercial street into town, within a fifteen-minute stroll of the famed Taos Plaza and dozens of art galleries and restaurants as well as the important art museums. George, the resident peacock, guards the grounds.
