This quirky Kimpton property brightens up the Murray Hill hotel scene.
When this Kimpton property came to town it brought its signature West Coast style; sadly, it didn't bring its West Coast prices. Despite the Manhattan cost, this quirky hotel is still a nice place to hang your hat --- especially if you're looking for some fun in a neighborhood not always known for lodgings of this quality. The hotel offers all the expected Kimpton amenities: evening wine reception in the lobby, gourmet treats in the mini-bar, Office in a Bag extras and Strike a Pose yoga channel with accessories. And, as is also to be expected, it is pet-friendly. Done in tasteful taupes and dark browns with simple white accents, the 205 guest rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi high-speed Internet access, data ports, voicemail, cordless telephones, 42-inch flat-screen TVs with surround sound and CD/DVD players. The on-site American restaurant, Silverleaf Tavern, doubles as a morning café serving breakfast and Caffe Vita coffees and a happy hour lounge for crowds that gather around the billiard table for drinks and dinner.
