Fresh design breathes new life into this classic NYC luxury hotel.
Three design studios put their heads (and individual styles) together to refurbish this midtown branch from the Loews Hotel Group. Rottet Studio, Meyer Davis Studio Inc., and Jonathan Nehmer + Associates have transformed a traditional hotel with a streamlined modernism that begins with the 24-foot-high marble entrance way decked out in cool earth tones. The lobby takes a different approach with plush velvets juxtaposed with local artist Nina Helms' "Brise de printemps" art installation. While above, the 379 guest rooms and suites continue the cool earth-tone color scheme. Amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen televisions, work desks and marble-top bathrooms. Guests need not venture far for a bite; on-site Regency Bar & Grill serves American fare, while the Milanese-style Sant Ambroeus at Loews Regency gives guests the convenience of grabbing a coffee and pastry on the go. Four fully equipped meeting rooms can accommodate small or large parties. The Spa offers facials, massages, manicures and pedicures, as well as a variety of other services. There is also a fitness center on for guest use.
