A two-story, gay friendly Victorian in a historic district.
This pretty old-fashioned house welcomes guests with a cheerful yellow façade and pleasant front porch. It is four blocks from the shops and restaurants of The Cape Fear River Walk. There are just four guest rooms, including one named after the artist Henry Jay MacMillan, who once owned the property. Styles range from Victorian frilly to dark and dignified. Some of the rooms have fireplaces. The third level of this home is reserved for the owners and their two cats. As for guests, feel free to bring your own pup or kitten along. Kids are welcome, too. Full breakfast and daytime snacks are offered. The owners pride themselves on not using any fragrances, pesticides or chemical cleaners in the home or yard.
