Healing is appealing at this unique bed-and-breakfast spa.
What was once a vegan B&B has evolved into a day spa for people who are committed to a healthy lifestyle. This Victorian home was built by a man named Captain Seawell, and there are still six rooms available. But the emphasis these days is on therapy and education, not breakfast and accommodation. Guests who stay here come for Annapurna's healing retreats. Treatments on offer range from aromatherapy and therapeutic massage to reflexology, gall bladder flushes and colon hydrotherapy. Guests can stay in a private room with its own bath or a shared room with a shared bathroom. All rooms are cleaned using ecologically sound products and a special water vacuum cleaner intended to remove allergens from the air. A relaxing soak takes on new meaning in the meditation tub. Additional treats include a dry sauna, solarium, Turkish steam bath, yoga room and massage studio.
