Period furnishings and inviting porches at a historic B&B.
This lovely bed-and-breakfast is nestled under a grove of native pecan trees in quiet Hyde Park, a National Register Historic District. The three-story home was constructed in 1909 and built in plantation style, with large wraparound porches. It offers a tranquil retreat with easy access to downtown and the University of Texas. This B&B is decorated in an historic style that well suits the architecture. It includes five guest accommodations. Four rooms on the second floor each offer a private bath and have access to the second-floor porch. Tucked under the eaves of the third floor, the Treehouse Suite includes a king bed, whirlpool bath for two and a sitting room with a television. The Carriage House is a private home detached from the main property.
