One of downtown's finest.
Boasting 821 rooms, this is among the largest hotels in the Twin Cities. It is also a class act that serves as a frequent home base for visiting filmmakers. Located on the south side of downtown, it takes up its own block amidst the surrounding skyscrapers. The entrance and lobby of the hotel bustle with doormen, bell hops, concierge and front desk staff. The rooms are large, offering views of the downtown architecture. The hotel is comfortable and well-appointed, although lacking in any sort of history or Old World charm. It’s more akin to the Century City Plaza in Los Angeles than the Plaza in New York. For a treat, ride the express elevators to the 25th floor for an excellent view of the Nicollet Mall and points farther west.
