One of Minnesota's oldest operating bed and breakfasts.
This gingerbread-style house was built in 1889 by Michael Scanlan, known as the founder of Lanesboro. This historic town is home to antique shops, a live professional acting theater, a 40-mile paved biking/rollerblading/hiking trail and so much more. You can canoe a river, play a game of tennis, tour a winery and even visit an Amish cheese factory. The area is also home to the state’s only two natural caves. A public nine-hole golf course is right outside the B&B’s door. Each bedroom has its own distinct style. Most have a full private bath with a huge two-person whirlpool, and all have queen- or king-sized mansion beds, fireplaces and private turret balconies. French Victorian sitting furniture cements the elegant tone. Among many highlights is a famous five-course breakfast that is included in all rates.
