A schoolhouse turned luxury boutique hotel in historic Park City.
Built in 1889 as a school, Washington School House has played many roles in its 120+ years, including a venue for dances and social events and a bed-and-breakfast. It even survived Park City's great fire of 1898. Today, the limestone building is the site of one of the area's top luxury offerings. The twelve-room hotel is situated just one block from Main Street, where the city's best bars, restaurants, galleries, shopping and ski lifts are located. With its quaint boutique feel, it features rustic interiors with floors made from reclaimed wood, beautiful designs comprising mostly white and "greige" (a mixture of gray and beige) and antique furniture gathered from several parts of the world. There are four levels. The multipurpose room is on street level (and houses George's Boutique), and the main dining room (a former classroom) is on the main level, serving a copious breakfast with daily selections and evening snacks. Rooms are dispersed on the remaining floors, and there are eight different room options, from a two queen room to a two-level suite. On the top level behind the building is an inviting deck with a pool and hot tub. Other amenities include a ski valet with heated racks for your boots, 24-hour concierge, in-house lift ticket purchase, free Wi-Fi, Molton Brown bath products, marble bathrooms and iPads/iPods upon request. Attentive service combined with indulgent amenities make for a true luxury experience in a place you can call home while discovering Park City.
