A modern, full-service resort compliments of Anheuser-Busch.
When Anheuser-Busch developed this area, one of its greatest contributions was this resort, which blends in nicely with the surrounding neighborhood. The contemporary complex sits aside the James River and offers a full tennis center, sports center, marina, The Kingsmill Golf Academy and two championship golf courses, one of which (designed by Pete Dye) is home to the Michelob Light Championship on the LPGA Tour. Because of its proximity to Busch Gardens, the resort is filled during the summer months with vacationing families. Business groups dominate the guest list during the rest of the year. Accommodations consist of 400 villa-style rooms and up to three-bedroom suites. The bedrooms are decorated in a refreshing style, with blond woods and comfy white linens. The suites have a suburban feel. Some come with full kitchens. The private conference level has lots of lounges and coffee break areas. Relics from local archaeological digs, including the Kingsmill Plantation, are displayed in the conference center. A courtesy shuttle is offered year-round to Colonial Williamsburg and to Busch Gardens in season.
