Luxurious, rustic cabins in the heart of a national park.
This historic lodge sits at the foot of the Tetons in Grand Teton National Park. Its 37 picturesque log cabins date back to the 1920s and offer pricey, Old West-style accommodations amid some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. Hiking trails abound, and guests can easily walk to three lakes. Among the wildlife they might see on the way are elk, moose, bison and deer. The cabins sit on stone foundations and have porches for sitting out in the fresh, pine-scented air with your morning cup of coffee. Interiors reflect the great outdoors, from the natural wood walls to the log-pole chairs to the open beams. Handmade quilts provide charm and color. You won’t find TVs or radios, but you can request a telephone. All rates include breakfast, a five-course dinner, horseback riding and bicycling. The property is owned by the Grand Teton Lodge Company, which can arrange outings such as Jenny Lake cruises and Snake River float trips. Golf is available nearby on a Robert Trent Jones, Jr. redesigned course. The lodge is open from May through October.
