A sprawling suburban property that caters to golfers.
Covering more than 120 acres and named for the orchard that once surrounded it, the Orange Tree was formerly a country club --- this is readily apparent in the USGA-rated golf course that can be seen from many of the 160 suites. At 740 square feet, suites are spacious, with king or two double beds plus a pullout sofa sleeper. TVs in living rooms, bedrooms and bath plus complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access add value, along with refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers and toasters for light meal prep. Signatures of an older property, such as French doors opening to patios or terraces, add charm. Dining options include Fairway Terrace, Cascades (poolside) and Longitude 10601, the resort’s fine dining venue. This is not a full-service resort. The focus here is on golf, though spa treatments are available in-room, and fitness activities include a workout room, guided desert hikes and water volleyball. With more than 10,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space, plus outdoor gardens and patios, the resort can handle medium-size meetings and conferences.
