Artsy and unmistakably San Franciscan in style.
Located just outside the entrance to Chinatown, the Hotel Triton is a 140-room property that features the works of cutting-edge Bay Area artisans. Artwork in the lobby includes two columns in gold, teal and purple; dervish chairs with undulating backs; and other curved and padded furniture. Even the bellmen's uniforms are designed to impress; depending on the season, they may sport edgy Mao jackets or Hawaiian-print shirts. Upstairs, in addition to standard rooms with amenities such as flat-screen televisions and plush robes, the hotel features celebrity-designed eco-suites by Carlos Santana, Jerry Garcia and Kathy Griffin. There's even a Sweet Suite that offers as much Häagen-Dazs ice cream as its inhabitants can eat. All of the suites incorporate environmentally savvy products and energy-saving features, with a percentage of the room charge donated to eco-friendly charities. Guests enjoy access to the 24-hour fitness center, as well as invites to the nightly complimentary wine hour. As is the case at all Kimpton properties, pets are welcome.
