The Scarlet Huntington

A renovated landmark hotel that boasts classic San Francisco style with an updated look.

The red-hued lobby at the Scarlet Huntington

The former Huntington Hotel has reemerged in fine form as The Scarlet Huntington following a massive $15 million renovation. Now draped in a refreshed palette of sumptuous colors and textures, the hotel reflects the Nob Hill district’s vibrant history while at the same time upping the standard for contemporary luxury. Behind the hotel’s signature red façade, the overall vibe seamlessly blends Asian culture with modern-day San Francisco diversity to achieve a new level of hospitality. Guest rooms and suites are decked out in bold hues of pumpkin, teal and taupe, which provide contrast with the black oak furniture with antique detailing. For sustenance, The Big 4 Restaurant, led by executive chef Miguel A. Garcia, Jr., serves up a menu of internationally influenced cuisine (Morocco, rustic Italian and Asian-fusion are among his favorites), along with handcrafted classic cocktails. Meanwhile, the on-site Nob Hill Spa soothes the senses --- as well as aching muscles --- with massages, caviar facials, nail services and other pampering treatments like a seaweed leaf body ritual.
