The Hunt Placer Inn
Individual character in a perfect Breckenridge location.
This well-situated inn caters to travelers year-round. In winter, skiing (both downhill and Nordic) is the big draw. Summers, visitors enjoy fly fishing on the Blue River, the Breckenridge Music Festival and jeep-exploring the gold-rush-era ghost towns dotting the surrounding mountains. All of the guest rooms are individually decorated in a rugged, mountain lodge theme---some look more Southwestern, while others evoke the Old West. Each has a telephone with data port, private bath, and balcony with great views. The Empress Room is loaded with Victorian-era antiques and is wheelchair accessible. The breakfast menu changes daily, but keep an eye out for the French toast soufflé with caramel sauce. In the afternoons, guests gather by the living room fire or on the sundeck for homemade cakes or a selection of wines and cheeses. During the Christmas/New Year holiday, there’s a five-day minimum stay.
