The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans
Luxurious rooms and suites housed in two landmark buildings.
This historic hotel occupies two venerable buildings, the former department stores of Maison Blanche and S. H. Kress. It includes a 20,000-square-foot spa that goes far beyond mere workouts --- how about a massage à deux for you and your beloved? The third-floor lobby provides both intimacy and grandeur, and there's also an elegantly furnished main lounge and an even more luxurious Library Lounge for brandy, cigars and fireside chats. Besides 415 deluxe rooms, there are 75 renovated Club Level rooms in the Maison Orleans wing and the 2,800-square-foot Ritz-Carlton Suite (containing a grand piano, among other generous extras). The traditional design includes nineteenth-century-style furniture, and all rooms feature ten-foot ceilings, Frette linens, multi-line telephones and marble bath facilities with Bulgari White Tea amenities.
