The Blue Goose Inn
An eco-friendly inn housed in a pair of Victorian homes.
At Coupeville’s Blue Goose Inn, innkeepers Becky & Dave Broberg have taken every measure to ensure a pampered and relaxing stay. Guests will appreciate a centrally located home base close to Coupeville’s shops and restaurants; in addition, the beach and Ebey’s Landing are just a five-minute drive away. Accommodations sprawl across two Painted Ladies, the John and Jane Kineth House (1887) and James and Keturah Coupe Gillespie House (1891). They are surrounded by nicely landscaped gardens ideal for sipping tea or reading a good book. Rates include a full breakfast served at two seatings on the sun porch; this daily meal features fresh fruit, homemade breads, juice, coffee, tea and a hot breakfast entrée such as Quiche Lorraine, blueberry cream cheese French toast or apple pancakes. For those who want to get an early start, the innkeepers will pack a to-go basket with fruit, juice, a muffin and a portable cup of coffee (advance notice required). Each of the well-appointed guest rooms and suites has a private bath, hair dryer, coffee maker, alarm clock, ceiling fan, HDTV with cable, movies, free Wi-Fi, luxurious linens and bath amenities, as well as complimentary bottled water, sodas, fruit and fresh-baked pastries and cookies. On the eco-front, the Blue Goose Inn was proudly awarded the Whidbey Green Seal for environmentally friendly practices, which include using eco-friendly cleaning products and energy-saving appliances and lighting, buying locally, and using rainwater for gardening and recycling.
