Rolling hills and a ranch atmosphere just a short drive from the city.
Texas Hill Country provides the gorgeous setting for this 200-acre resort. While the property is a vacation destination unto itself, it also makes a luxurious base for sightseeing. It resides within twenty minutes of downtown and Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and is right across TX 151 from SeaWorld San Antonio. The 500-room property is styled like an elegant Texas ranch house. Guest rooms, suites and public areas are decorated with regional touches that range from denim drapes to cowboy art. An array of ways to unwind includes traditional pursuits, such as golf and spa treatments, as well as such singular activities as inner tube rides along the river that spans the property. Additional activities include a FlowRider wave machine and tower water slide. While the needs of adults are thoroughly catered to, families are made to feel right at home, and Camp Hyatt offers supervised activities for young guests. With a $35 million expansion and renovation in 2013, guest rooms and landscaping were freshened and enhanced, and indoor function space doubled to 70,000 square feet, including the 20,000-square-foot Independence Ballroom. Wi-Fi and parking are free, and pets (sorry, no cats) are welcome, with restrictions.
