A complimentary wine spigot is just one of many indulgences for guests staying at this lakefront castle.
Resting on the shores of Seneca Lake in New York's Finger Lakes wine region, Belhurst Castle dates back to the 1800s. Most of the materials used to build the castle, as well as many of the furnishings, were imported from Europe, giving an air of authenticity that exists to this day. Along with the 14 atmospheric chambers in the castle, the grounds also house the Vinifera Inn with fireplaces, two-person Jacuzzis and views overlooking the lake, and White Springs Manor, a Georgian-Revival mansion from the early 1900s.
Signature restaurant Edgar's serves steaks, chops and seafood in a handsome dining room, while Stonecutter's offers creative tavern fare with outdoor tables in season. At Isabella Spa, a comprehensive menu of services features certified natural, organic products. Two lake-view ballrooms are among the many venues available for conferences, social events and weddings. Wine tours are one of the area's most popular attractions, and guests can start at the winery right on the property with tastings of Belhurst's own vintages.
