A Victorian bed-and-breakfast with a romantic atmosphere.

THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED Armstrong Mansion Bed & Breakfast

Francis Armstrong built the Armstrong Mansion to fulfill a promise made to his bride on their wedding day; they decided on the Queen Anne style after traveling through Europe together, and construction was finished in 1893. More than a hundred years later, completely restored to its former elegance after eclectic incarnations as an acupuncture clinic and motorcycle repair shop, the Armstrong Mansion Bed and Breakfast offers authentic historic charm and grace. Each room showcases seasonal decorations, from the airy "June Bride" honeymoon suite and the sylvan "September Woods" to year-round Christmas in "December Dreams." In addition, features include stained-glass windows and private staircases. All rooms come with cable television, a DVD player, jetted bathtub and gourmet buffet breakfast. The Mayor's Parlor, with Victorian accents and vaulted ceilings, as well as a small stage, piano and fireplace, is available for business meetings, recitals and other events. An inspired site for a romantic getaway, the inn offers special romance and celebration packages with dimmed lights, a box of chocolates, rose petals, sparkling cider on ice and extras ranging from rose bouquets to dinner and theater tickets.
