Petit St. Vincent

Petit St. Vincent Private Island Petit St. Vincent

Simplicity and peaceful solitude in homey cottages scattered across a private island.

Mottos like "a private island for private people" and "lose your way, find yourself" are entirely appropriate for the luxurious escape from the modern rat race that is Petit St. Vincent. There are only 22 cottages and villas on this property's 115 acres, and comfort is by no means sacrificed in spacious cottages built from native stone and wood, equipped with refrigerated mini-bars, coffeemakers and iPod docks. Keep in mind, though --- there are no TVs, phones or Internet. Instead, guests can unwind and savor the sound of the waves and native birds. The Main Restaurant promises informal elegance, serving a mixture of locally caught or grown ingredients and high-quality imported meats. A more casual beach restaurant offers lighter fare inspired by Caribbean comfort food, and there are weekly barbecue feasts on the beach. Guests can rejuvenate in open-air spa rooms or in the yoga pavilion facing Conch Bay. Those who visit in May can enjoy a sports day with serious competitions and fun games, in which both guests and staff are invited to participate. Petit St. Vincent can cater to personalized ceremonies, including weddings, and guests can rent the entire island for a special celebration. Room rates include three meals, morning coffee and afternoon tea and use of all non-motorized water sports and island facilities.
