This one-of-a-kind hotel takes no prisoners when it welcomes inmates – er, guests – for a stay that won't soon be forgotten.
Want to sleep in a bare-bones prison bunk? Dine on lousy prison food? Here's your chance. Karostas Cietums has served as both a military prison and KGB detention center. Today, it offers an experience called Extreme Night, where guests are voluntarily incarcerated. Waivers are required, as is courage. For those who want a less invasive taste of life in the hoosegow, there is also the Behind Bars show, an interactive program based on true stories from nearly 100 years of prison history. Also on offer are two Escape Room games, "George Orwell, 1984" and "Pre-trial Detention Centre".
